Metrópolette was started out of my love for all things urban and green. I’m a 20-something year old student studying Urban Planning on the West Coast.
When I was younger, I wanted to be a writer or a magazine editor. I didn’t tell people that, but it was my dream job. I think it was the movies, 13 Going on 30, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, insert-other-chick-flicks-here, that created this idea in my head. If you haven’t seen these classics, the lead women are all magazine editors at some big, fancy corporate magazine.
Needless to say, I didn’t become a magazine editor. Instead, I decided to purse a career in Urban Planning, a career I am passionate about too. However, part of me still wants to be that magazine editor. So starting this blog is my version of being my own magazine editor.
When I’m not working on content for Metropolette, I love to explore new hikes here on the West Coast, calm my brain in the hot yoga studio, and curl up in bed with a book.
Metrópolette is a place to get inspiration on green and urban living, travel and beauty.
