Though I still have a longgg list of cities in the world that I would like to see(I’m in love with cities I’ve never been to…), if I had to choose a city that was my favorite right now, I would choose…
Yup, that is the iconic Golden Gate Bridge which belongs to San Francisco. I never thought I would pick an American city as one of my favorite cities because it just seems so… Western of me… But seriously I love this city. I have traveled to Italy and been to Rome, Venice, Florence, and I’ve been to plenty of Canadian cities, and even Vancouver where I live is gorgeous and I love this city too, but still when I really sit down and think about where I could SEE myself living, it comes down to San Francisco. I would say I am a West Coast gal. Though I haven’t been to enough East Coast cities to really judge… (New York is #1 on my North American cities to see, and Chicago and Boston come in at the top 5 too!) But there is something about the West Coast I just love.
Pacific Ocean… whales… better weather than the East (what is snow??)…
Anyways, back to SF – the first thing I loved about the city: the architecture. I suppose someone interested in urban studies and design would also be interested in architecture, but seriously. the. architecture. is. gorgeous. Victorian style mixed with modern style houses, steep rolling hills, houses all lined up neatly beside each other in yellows, neutrals, greys and blues. The city just has a character that Vancouver doesn’t have. I could just imagine myself living there. The weather is relatively mild all year round, the landscape is gorgeous. Oh and one of my favorite favorite fashion bloggers Julia from Gal Meets Glam lives there, so everytime I am obsessing over her posts on her blog or her instagram, I fall more in love with San Francisco because she posts photos with beautiful backdrops of the city and posts photos of her excursions to different vegan restaurants and cafes and she just makes me want to live there so bad and have her life…
While in San Francisco this past summer, I walked through Fisherman’s Wharf, rode the cable car a few times, went to Golden Gate Park, rented bikes, ate plenty of clam chowder and seafood, and really enjoyed my short visit there. I can’t wait to go back and explore the city more.
Oh and did I mention all the sea lions bathing on the docks by Fisherman’s Wharf!? So cute! Here are some pics from my trip last summer.
Tell me what your favorite city is and why in the comments!

So hard to say! I love my city of Vancouver but about a month ago, a few girlfriends and I visited Seattle for a few nights and I love it there. Reminds me of Vancouver too but I love being a tourist in a city even if it’s just for a few days.
I love Seattle too! Would love to go spend more than a day there.
